Invisible Spaces – Daydreams and Designs

Using the seven deadly sins i have created an exhibition where each room represents a different sin

The Brief:

You will need to build an small-scale model of an installation. You will need to plan and produce a ‘Dream’ or ‘Nightmare’ space. This space should capture the essence of your ideas and imagination and could be focussed on specific aspects of what you learned in your Façade Project. Ideas and themes could be based on: fantasy, history, futuristic, cultural, ideals, or memories. It could be a response to existing architectural designs, systems or concepts. Or it could be a combination of a number of these concepts. The space could be Utopian, optimistic and inviting, or Dystopian, degraded or authoritarian – or both??. The space may be a threshold for rituals, rites or ceremonies – invented or real. It might grow organically, or involve a ‘manufactured’ process.

The installation should be a. You will need to consider spatial awareness and how an audience or participators would interact or flow through your space; what feelings are you trying to provoke or communicate? This may contain elements from Interior & Architecture; TV, Film, & Theatre, Prop, Model and Set Design; Visual Merchandising; Sculptural Installation; Performance (Art or Fashion); Exhibition Design.
